Cross the Rail Art Trail
Annual exhibit of original outdoor sculptures is on display in the National Register Downtown Brick Street Historic District and within the boundaries of an award winning Iowa Main Street Community. The Cross the Rail Art Trail sponsors a People’s Choice Vote as well as a Juried Critique to determine the winning sculpture purchased by Woodbine Main Street. The winning sculpture resides within the City of Woodbine. Sculptures are owned by the sculptors and loaned to the exhibit until the next annual competition commences. The downtown also features an outdoor amphitheater, the Millard Historic Preservation Park, and a small pocket park, all featuring native plantings and sculptures. Each year, the Art Trail expands its boundaries, adding local and regional art.
